Stevie angry at Radio Raheem

Stevie

Stevie is a character in the film Do the Right Thing, portrayed by Luis Antonio Ramos. He is a Puerto Rican who wears a red and grey striped t-shirt and red shorts. He is first seen with his other Puerto Rican friends when opening a can of drinks.

When people are playing with the water from the fire hydrant, Stevie is part of it, being seen getting forced onto the water from the top of the fire hydrant by his friends, his clothes getting soaked all over.

When Radio Raheem stops by with his boom box, his music drowns the music the Puerto Ricans are listening to. They all get angry at him, and Stevie calms them down, and he insults Radio Raheem. Stevie turns his music up, but then Radio Raheem turns his up. Stevie accepts defeat, and turns his music off.

In the fourth wall breakers sequence, Stevie insults the Koreans, saying: "You little slanty eyed, me-no-speaky-American, own-every-fruit-and-vegetable-stand-in-New-York, bullshit, Reverend Sun Myung Moon, Summer Olympics '88, Korean kickboxing son-of-a-bitch." He then gets insulted by Officer Gary Long.

Later when Radio Raheem gets killed, he says how it's murder, just like what they did to Michael Stewart.
